I remember it well along with Sylvia's delicious soups.
Celery, carrots and potatoes added to the veal make it a complete one dish meal. Flavor is enhanced with red wine.

We already knew you were a great cook but now realize that you write very well too. I thoroughly enjoyed reading your blog sent so early this morning. I probably won't ever cook the great-sounding veal and dessert dishes but I loved the fact that you are preserving and passing on to your children and others your mom's favorite recipes and traditions. We feel fortunate that we were able to meet and visit with your mom - such a special, brave person.
